THE BIG REVEAL WAS Thursday 6th November BCRH 17.30 - 18.20

Well done everyone who came on a blustery, cold, evening many stuck in traffic!

Douglas introduced his fellow 2026 Director Laura Cadman who hosted a Zoom Link to the meeting from London - a number of participants joined us online!

We started with an introduction by our Parish Protection Officer “ Tricia Turner “ who explained that her enquires of our intended Annual Parish Concert did not breach any rules, in fact we had more than enough Level 3 checked individuals - Having thanked the Directors for the invite her duty was done.

Laura set the scene on why we were meeting:

We are blessed in our Parish to have a rich, diverse, fun loving, Catholic community who with this advanced notice are encouraged to be creative, provide ideas, talent, just enjoy the experience of having a go!

Douglas added to this sentiment and listed some of the Performers who have committed to the 2026 concert.

He went on to explain the behind the scenes work required to get to this point “It all starts with a Yes to having a concert by Canon Luiz” followed by meetings and discussions including approval for the WebSite.

The long term goal is: various Teams that will now emerge over the years lead by Event Directors of that future era, will have a resource kit which will evolve around the “findthevariety” brand.

In closing this entry I personally would like to pay tribute to all that have preceded Laura and Me in bringing us to this point - thank you all!
